You know that feeling when you see something and it reminds you of a place or time ….this little town gave me so many Gilmore Girls vibes.
I thought I was Lorelai walking through Stars Hollow. It was a small town of tiny streets with tiny houses. All the homes have signs “The Andersons circa 1842”, “Colonel Thompsons house est. 1812”. However, when you walked to the water the mood completely changed. This tiny town turned into a giant boat club with a band and bars. This place really has it all. I am thinking of taking my Fiance there for a weekend since it’ll have a good mix of relaxation and excitement.
But for the reason, we are here…Dana and Stephen. Dana has been a friend for going on 9 years now. We met freshman year of college when we both accepting invitations to join our sorority. After long talks with me and loved ones, they decided to postpone their large celebration but still get married on their original date. I was so thrilled to be asked to capture this milestone. I could not imagine missing it in person!
Our day was certainly a rollercoaster! There was a HUGE chance of rain and the ceremony outside, so of course there was a lot of tension. The beauty of rain on wedding day is that the sky is literally PERFECT for photos. She got ready at an inn so we had a porch attached to grab all the bridal photos and immediate families. The rain was so strong we did have to postpone the ceremony for a couple hours, but it all worked out! The weather was beautiful at ceremony time and we grabbed some awesome newlywed photos. I mean look at that sky!!!
