My love for photography began in a darkroom, learning to shoot and develop film by hand. There was something unforgettable about watching an image slowly appear in the developer tray, and more than a decade later, that feeling has never really left me.
What began with film grew into a career photographing celebrations across the East Coast and beyond. I’m still drawn to photographs for the same reason I was then: their ability to preserve something fleeting and make it tangible again.
Behind the camera, I’m equal parts observer and director. I love the beautiful portrait, but I’m always watching what’s happening just outside of it too. The quick glance, the laugh that breaks the pose, the people you love being completely themselves. Those are often the photographs that become my favorites.
